Justinians donate generously to kids’ causes

  The Justinian Society of Lawyers recently held its 16th annual Children’s Endowment Fund dinner at Lux Bar in Chicago. More than 60 Justinians were in attendance as the 2018 CEF recipients, Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago and Child’s Voice each received a grant of $3,350 from Justinian President Michael F. Bonamarte of Levin & Perconti. The mission of CEF is to assist disabled or disadvantaged children in our community. Dispute resolution firm brings Curio on board

Retired Cook County Circuit Court Judge Lisa Curcio has joined the panel of senior arbitrators and mediators at ADR, a Chicago-based alternative dispute resolution service provider. Curcio spent more than 15 years on the bench, 11 of which in the Chancery Division, where she presided over cases involving mechanics liens, construction contracts, and commercial and residential mortgage foreclosure. “During her judicial career, she was known for her measured and practical approach, careful management of complicated multi-party cases and understanding of the nuances involved in litigation and alternative dispute resolution,” said ADR President Marc Becker in welcoming Curcio to the company. …

Salvino earns top honor for financial advisors

William Blair financial advisor John Salvino was named to the 2018 Top 40 Advisors Under 40 list by On Wall Street magazine. This is the second time Salvino made the list. Salvino, a partner with the firm, joined William Blair in 2002. He serves as chairman of the University of Chicago Booth Alumni Finance Roundtable and is a member of the Salvino Wealth Management Team. Arcolians go to bat for UIC dental college

The Arcolian Dental Arts Society recently made a pair of donations to the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Arcolians Dr. Frank Maggio and Dr. Stephen Esposito (pictured, left and right) presented Dean Clark Stanford with a check for $1,000 to support the college’s scholarship funds. The donation was requested by Dr. Maggio, a clinical associate professor at the college and the 2017 Arcolian of the Year. The society also presented a $2,000 scholarship to third-year dental student Andrew Bertagna.

Dr. Imburgia takes charge at Chicago Dental Society

Louis Imburgia, DDS, a general dentist who practices in Park Ridge, has been sworn in as president of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Imburgia graduated from the Loyola University School of Dentistry with clinical honors in periodontics, and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He also volunteers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Established in 1864, the CDS has more than 4,000 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties, making it the largest local society of the American Dental Association.
