Founded in 1930, the Italian Sons and Daughters of America is a national fraternal organization that provides a broad range of insurance and financial products to its members. The IANU Foundation is the charitable arm of the ISDA in the Chicago area, with 11 lodges in the Chicago. The Italo American National Union Foundation is the Midwest District of the ISDA, with 11 lodges in the Chicago area. The IANU hosts a Michelangelo Award dinner every other year in the spring, a bocce tournament in July, a candlelight bowl in October, a David Awards dinner in November and a Christmas party in December. The organization also offers scholarships, spearheads volunteer efforts, donates money to worthy causes.
