Feast of Maria SS. Incoronata

The Feast of Maria SS. Incoronata is a testimony to the power of faith. The celebration has survived for more than a century at the same church, despite the transformation of the community from a thriving Italian enclave into one of the nation’s premier Chinatowns. The 120th annual feast will be celebrated on Sept. 10 at St. Therese Chinese Catholic Church in Chicago. Festivities will begin with an 11 a.m. Mass, followed by a procession featuring the Sicilian Band of Chicago, an angel ceremony at Santa Lucia Church at 3 p.m., and a Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 4 p.m. (708-222-1200)
