Feast of San Giuseppe di Casteldaccia

The Society of Saint Joseph will celebrate the Feast of San Giuseppe di Casteldaccia on Aug. 27 at the Santuario at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines. The celebration traces its roots to Casteldaccia, Palermo, Sicily. The event will feature a noon religious program celebrated by the Rev. Augusto Feccia and the Very Rev. Esequiel Sanchez, followed by a procession accompanied by the Sicilian Band of Chicago. A festival afterward will feature live music and Sicilian specialty foods.
