Festa Italiana Chicago will celebrate its 12th anniversary on Taylor Street from Aug. 18 to 20.
Hosted by the University Village Association and run by StarEvents, the three-day fest will feature food and beverage booths, live entertainment on three stages, Italian dance performances and classes, cooking demonstrations, a wine garden, and an Italian car show.
Entertainment will include the Anthony Bruno Orchestra, Vince Chiarelli, the Rose Colella Big Band, John Michael Coppola, Daniella Crocco, Cole DeGenova and the Chicago Diamond Trio, Josie Falbo, Sam Fazio, the Four C Notes, Frank Gualtieri and the West End Jazz Band, Paul Marinaro and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, Francesco Marino, Opera Moda, the Tommy Panici Trio, The Joe Policastro Trio, guitarist Alfonso Ponticelli and his gypsy jazz ensemble, Italian bluesman Breezy Rodio, Lisa Roti, the Sicilian Serenaders, Soco 7, Angel Spiccia, Denise Tomasello, the Tradizione Vivente dance troupe and more.
Fest-goers will have the opportunity to play Italian card games, compete in meatball eating contests, and purchase Italian-themed merchandise.
Entry to Festa Italiana Chicago is a suggested $5 donation.
