Attorneys at Romanucci & Blandin stand out

Chicago attorney Michael Grieco was among the many lawyers honored at the American Association for Justice’s 2023 annual convention in Philadelphia this July. An AAJ Board of Governors member since 2022, Grieco was presented with the F. Scott Baldwin Award, which recognizes a young trial lawyer with one or more outstanding trial verdicts who has made a significant contribution to the New Lawyers Division of the AAJ. Justinians go to bat for kids in need

The Justinian Society of Lawyers held its 21st annual Children’s Endowment Fund grant reception on March 16 at Lux Bar in Chicago. Justinian President Bruno Marasso and Endowment Fund Chairman Frank Sommario presented a total of $15,000 in CEF grants at the event to the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association, Direct Effect Charities and St. Anthony Hospital. The Justinian Society of Lawyers held its 20th annual Children’s Endowment Fund grant reception on March 17 at Lux Bar in Chicago. Justinian First Vice President Bruno Marasso and Endowment Fund Chairman Frank Sommario presented $10,000 CEF grants to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and to CASA Kane County at the event. On hand to accept the donations were Anthonia Warren of Lurie and Gloria Kelley and Amy Deaschler of CASA. Justinians celebrate Sommario

Chicago attorney Frank Sommario received the Justinian Society of Lawyers 2021 Award of Excellence at a Nov. 18 gala at Gibson’s Italia. The award was presented by Justinian President Dion Davi. “I am humbled to be the 2021 Award of Excellence recipient,” Sommario says. “I have been a member since my first year of law school, and being recognized in this way is a great honor.” A senior partner at the law firm of Romanucci & Blandin, Sommario is a past Justinian president and currently serves on the society’s executive committee as its comptroller.

Antonio Romanucci has been installed as the 66th president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and Frank Sommario has been sworn in as the secretary of the National Italian American Bar Association. Romanucci and Sommario are partners in the Chicago-based law firm of Romanucci & Blandin. Romanucci has been an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association since 1995. This year marks several milestones for the firm, with founding partners Romanucci and Blandin being named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list for the 15th consecutive year and Sommario being named to the Top 100 list for the first time. Justinians donate generously to kids’ causes

  The Justinian Society of Lawyers recently held its 16th annual Children’s Endowment Fund dinner at Lux Bar in Chicago. More than 60 Justinians were in attendance as the 2018 CEF recipients, Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago and Child’s Voice each received a grant of $3,350 from Justinian President Michael F. Bonamarte of Levin & Perconti. The mission of CEF is to assist disabled or disadvantaged children in our community.
